Welcome to the Regional Homelessness Champions' web site!

The Homelessness and Housing Support Directorate has identified 13 local authorities to act as Regional Champions and share their experience in tackling homelessness. This web site has been set up to give you up to date information on what each of the Regional Champions or other local authorities are doing in order to prevent and tackle homelessness. We also aim to provide details of useful events and contacts.

In the near future we will be adding a searchable database of resources from each of the Regional Champions and other authorities to help you develop and strengthen your services.

What wlll each Champion do?

Each Champion will work with other local authorities to provide support and share their experience of preventing homelessness. They will work with individual councils to carry out action planning days and peer reviews and will also spend time working to develop regional capacity, for example hosting training events or working with sub-regional homelessness forums.

How can I arrange for a Champion to work with my LA?

The Champions are working with Officials in the Homelessness and Housing Support Directorate to develop their work programmes for the next few months.
